Hai Cathy,

There are lots of different Italian meatball recipes around.

Got 3 Italian recipes on my site:

Difficult to say if 1 of these resembles the ones your grandma used to make, so you just have to give it a try.

I hope this is it. Because I make this one for my children.

1 lb. ground beef

1 egg

1 c. bread crumbs (Italian seasoned)

1/2 c. milk

2 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

1/2 tsp. oregano

1 tsp. parsley flakes

1 tsp. onion flakes, powder or salt

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Combine ingredients. Shape into 1 1/2 inch meatballs. Place in covered skillet (fry pan) in oven 15 minutes (325-350 degrees). Do not overcook. Turn meatballs over. Cook for another 15 minutes. Drain liquid. Place meatballs in desired spaghetti sauce. Heat until sauce is hot and serve.
my italian grandma uses a recipe similar to the ones above with the egg and italian bread crumbs but she adds real garlic and broils them instead of frying and makes them more like footballs than a round ball lol . EVeryone who eats them thinks they are amazing.

hello

equal parts ground pork, beef and veal..... chopped flat leaf parsley garlic chii flake coarse salt pepper to taste.... also lemon zest is nice... mix ingredients and then cook off a little morsel to see if you like it... adjust as neccesary... the flavors will develop if you let it sit a few hours before balling it up.... stay away from bread crumbs... use ground fatback instead..... but can we agree it's the sauce that makes the meatball?
dont anybody tell her...
Go to the Kraft website- they have tons of different meatball recipes. Here is a link to the section on meatballs.
