This is my husband's ';Swedish'; meatball recipe. Please don't let the ingredients scare you, everyone loves them until they ask for the recipe! And they are incredibly good.
2 8oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened and cut up in cubes
1 16 oz. containter sour cream
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
About 3/4 soup can of milk (may need to adjust a bit up or down)
1 little can green chiles (I use Ortega fire roasted chiles)
Combine all this in a crockpot on high. Whisk occasionally until the cream cheese blobs have melted. Add a good 16 oz. of frozen meatballs (we like the Italian style from Safeway), stir well, and keep letting it cook for at least 2 more hours.
It's an artery clogger, but you'll find yourself eating more than one serving, they're addictive!I need a different crockpot meatball appetizer recipe...can anyone help...something different?

Have you done the one with Heinz Chili sauce and jelly?
1 bottle of Heinz Chile sauce and 1 jar of red jelly (red plum or currant work best).
My friend who gave this recipe to me makes her meatballs by hand, but I usually just get the ones pre-cooked from Sam's.
This sauce is sort of a cross between a BBQ taste and more Asian sweet %26amp; sour flavor.
